There are 3 types of gaming formats for PAINTBALL. A description of each format is mentioned below:

Millennium Format

This type of gaming format is typically followed. Herein a each team consists of 5-7 team members. A player has to reach the opposite team’s goal post without getting tagged or hit by the paintball and Capture the Flag of the opposite side and ring the Buzzer. The team that accomplishes this task first wins the game. The game will last for 12 minutes.

X-Ball

The X-Ball competitive paintball game format consists of Five to Seven players per team playing on an open field with boundaries and inflatables. A player is considered out of the game when he is hit or tagged by a paintball. The objective is to capture the opponent's flag, located in the center of the field and carry the flag to the opponent’s side. Each match lasts a few minutes, and the number of matches depends on how many can fit into a 30 minute game. The team with the maximum number of flag hangs or flag captures wins. A time out of 2 mins will intercede each flag hang.

PSP Format

In this type of format, one of the Team members has to reach the opposite team’s goal post without getting tagged by the paintball and Capture the Flag of the opposite side and carry the flag back to their own base. The team that accomplishes this task FIRST wins the game.

There is a variation in this format wherein every player gets 1 extra life (represented by an Arm band). When a player gets tagged for the first time, s/he’s arm band will be removed, & the player will be sent outside the field or to a dead box for 2 minutes during the game. During these 2 minutes, the player has to wait near their own base. After which the arm band that represents the extra life will be removed and S/he will be back in the game once signaled by the referee.
